Biography

Charlene (Charl) Boyd has been in real estate in Arizona since 1989. Starting in new home sales with Del Webb in Sun City West, and then with Pinnacle Peak Realty in 1995. She remains in the north Scottsdale, Cave Creek and Carefree area and is currently with an exciting new entity; Dominic & Company International Real Estate. One of the principal partners, Dominic Scappaticci, is a broker she has shared a creative and positive working relationship with since 1995.

Specializing in new homes and custom construction in the north Scottsdale area, she has worked with a variety of custom builders including selling community projects with LaBlonde Homes. She expanded into land acquisition, luxury leases and resales in addition to her original passion for custom homes and her knowledge for quality construction. And, in keeping with the current market, is certified in Short Sales, Foreclosures and Bank Owned Properties.

Charl is originally from Lancaster, Pennsylvania and moved to Arizona in the 70’s. She attended Southern Methodist University in Dallas Texas, completing degrees in Education, English and Psychology. She received her Master of Science degree in Rehabilitation Administration from University of North Texas. Charl worked for over 15 years in Public Relations and Marketing for non-profit organizations including establishing such projects as the first AIDS Hospice in Dallas, various Robert Wood Johnson Foundation programs, the Lighthouse for the Blind and a number of United Way initiatives.

Her philanthropic life includes Dallas Heart Ball Chair and the SMU Board of Directors. She is a founder of the SMU Young Alumni Association and continues as an active alumna to this day. Charl is also a proud Gamma Phi Beta Sorority alumna. She participates in both the Manheim Township High School and the Judson International Boarding School alumni groups. She served as Board Member for Habitat for Humanity for seven years, and past Board Member for St. Paul’s Preparatory Academy in Phoenix. Charl also created and spear-headed the Habitat for Humanity Golf Event (2008–2012) at the Troon North Golf Club in Scottsdale. Presently, she is a Co-Chair for the Scottsdale Area Association of Realtors (SAAR) Golf & Tennis Event at Desert Highlands.

Charl’s philosophy is to be passionate about real estate and philanthropy, as both are focal points in her life! She enjoys working with her clients, both new and those coming back to work with her again and again because of the continued positive relationship and customer service; thankful for every one of those referrals and each new client!
